Product Description:
This part is manufactured from 6061-T6 aluminum alloy, an Al-Mg-Si series precipitation-hardenable alloy. Through solution heat treatment and artificial aging (T6 temper), it achieves high tensile strength and excellent comprehensive mechanical properties.
The corrugated structure provides superior axial expansion capability and elastic deformation space, effectively absorbing length changes caused by thermal expansion and contraction in pipelines or equipment. It compensates for mechanical deviations during installation, preventing system rupture due to stress concentration.
The top features a thickened flange/beaded edge design, which not only enhances the pressure-bearing capacity of the end connections but also facilitates bolted fastening or clamp installation with external devices. This significantly improves the overall torsional resistance and tensile performance of the assembly.

Process Description:
6061 Aluminum Billet / Tube Stock → Precision Saw Cutting → Solution Heat Treatment (530°C) + Rapid Water Quenching → Bellows Roll-forming / Spinning (W-temper State) → Artificial Aging (170°C × 12h, T6 Temper) → End Machining / Flange Forming → Inspection → Finished Product
Key Process Controls
Forming Timing:Roll-forming must be performed immediately after quenching (typically within 2–4 hours, and no later than 24 hours). This prevents natural aging that increases hardness and risks cracking during deformation.
Corrosion Prevention: Strict segregation from ferrous metals is enforced during processing to avoid iron or copper contamination, which can compromise surface quality and corrosion resistance.
Springback Compensation: Due to the high yield strength of 6061-T6, the roll-forming tooling is engineered with precise dimensional allowances to compensate for material springback, ensuring final profile accuracy.

After completing all the machining processes, we performed coordinate measuring machine (CMM) inspection and X-ray internal flaw detection to ensure that all dimensions and quality met the required standards.
