Product Description:
This product is a Gourd-Shaped Safety Rope Housing custom-manufactured for a UK client. Constructed from high-strength A356-T6 aluminum alloy using the advanced Squeeze Casting (Liquid Forging) process, it offers exceptional structural integrity.
The unique gourd-shaped ergonomic design not only ensures a comfortable grip and easy installation but also provides a compact yet robust enclosure for internal safety rope mechanisms. This housing is widely utilized in fall protection systems, aerial work platforms, outdoor sports equipment, and industrial safety applications. It serves as a critical component to guarantee the smooth operation of the rope system while effectively preventing external abrasion and impact damage.

Production Process
Process Flow Overview:
Raw Material Melting & Alloying → Squeeze Casting Molding → Demolding & Part Removal → Trimming & Cleaning → T6 Heat Treatment → Precision CNC Machining → Surface Treatment → Final Inspection
Process Description:
This project utilizes the Squeeze Casting (Liquid Forging) process to produce the rough casting of the Gourd-Shaped Safety Rope Housing, followed by T6 Heat Treatment (Solution Treatment + Artificial Aging).
The Squeeze Casting process applies high pressure to rapidly inject liquid or semi-liquid metal into the mold cavity, forcing the metal to crystallize and solidify under pressure. This results in a fully dense, porosity-free structure with mechanical properties approaching those of forged parts.
Although the squeeze-cast blank exhibits excellent internal density, it remains in an annealed state. Therefore, the T6 heat treatment is essential to relieve internal stress and significantly enhance its strength. During production, special attention is paid to the edge radiusing (filleting) of the rope outlet to prevent abrasion or cutting of the rope fibers.
Upon completion of all casting and machining operations, the parts undergo Ultrasonic Cleaning to remove aluminum chips, residual emulsified oil, and cutting fluids generated during CNC machining. This process ensures the removal of contaminants from complex internal cavities and threaded holes.
Following cleaning, Dimensional Inspection and X-Ray Radiography (Internal Defect Detection) are performed to verify compliance with specifications. We guarantee that all dimensions and quality standards meet requirements, and a comprehensive Inspection Report including dimensional data and material certification will be provided with the shipment.
